The Chaos that About to Hit 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4
The first promo shows a “derecho,” a number of fast-moving thunderstorms, hits Austin, causing “hurricanic and tornadic-force winds” that also bring intense rainfall, flash floods, and huge destruction. Surprisingly, it also causes a rain of frogs. However, a derecho isn’t the only natural phenomenon 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 will feature. Just when they think it’s already the worst, a Heat Burst, a rare weather phenomenon that can increase the temperature to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, hits the city.
Owen’s Cancer and T.K., Carlos’ Wedding
The premiere episode trailer also touches on Owen’s cancer diagnosis in the previous season finale. “My best life is when I have dragons to slay,” he tells Judd Ryder (Jim Parrack). “If you just wait around a minute, something awful’s bound to happen.” In addition, the new season will also feature T.K. Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) and Office Carlos Reyes’ (Rafael L. Silva) wedding after the former’s proposal. We’ll have to see when we ‘earn’ the wedding,” Rubinstein told TV Insider. “I’d like to see the journey of Tarlos as an engaged couple instead of rushing [into] marriage, which I don’t think they will. They’ve given us a beautiful storyline with room to breathe.”
9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 Storyline and Release Date
According to Fox’s official logline, via TVLine, 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 premiere episode will be titled The New Hotness. “Owen, Tommy, and the rest of the 126 being called into action to a county fair when a ‘derecho,’ a series of a fast-moving group of severe thunderstorms, hit Austin, causing hurricanic and tornadic-force winds, heavy rains, flash floods and a wide path of destruction,” the official synopsis reads. “And just when they think it couldn’t get worse, an even more rare weather phenomenon, a ‘heat burst,’ causing temperatures to go up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, hits the city.” READ MORE: Virgin River Season 5: Cast Hints at Characters’ Future After Filming Wraps The new season will premiere on a new night, Tuesday, January 17, on Fox.
