Playing Aimee Gibbs, Aimee Lou Wood revealed in an interview with Digital Spy that there will be a lot of changes in Sex Education Season 4, “There’s a lot of newness for all the characters and I think that that does make the show feel very new.” Aimee adds that her character will deal with a lot of it as well, “Aimee particularly - her best friend’s in America, she doesn’t have a boyfriend for the first time ever, she’s at a brand new school where she doesn’t have any mates.” Unfortunately, the changes include the characters who will not be returning for Sex Education Season 4 like Patricia Allison’s Ola, Simon Ashley’s Olivia, Tanya Reynolds’ Lily, and Rakhee Thakrar’s Ms. Emily Sands. In the same interview, Aimee shares that they miss everyone who left but are excited for the new cast members, “We definitely love all the new additions, they’re all amazing, but we also definitely miss the people who exited. We really do miss them.”

Sex Education Season 4 is expected to follow the events of the end of Season 3 where a lot of cliffhangers happened such as Moordale Secondary School being sold to developers and the students would have to look for another school by the term’s end. Maeve and Otis are on the edge as Maeve leaves for the US to study, Eric breaks up with Adam and their relationship remains in unstable waters, Jackson and Cal decided that it’d be best for them to remain friends, and the biggest questions is the father of Joy as it may not be Jakob who fathered Jean’s child. As for Aimee, she starts anew with a new school and a new environment especially now that Maeve is going to the US, this means that Aimee will have to deal with things in a new perspective and possibly a clean slate, too, especially after the trauma she got in the previous season. Sex Education Season 4 has no release date yet.
