Twitter Shutdown Fears, Anime Fans React
Twitter has been a hot topic over the past few weeks, especially with Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk acquiring the company in late October. After purchasing Twitter, Musk became the company’s CEO and promptly laid off a significant portion of Twitter’s workforce. Musk also fired top executives of the company, including CEO Parag Agrawal. Following this, Musk introduced a new subscription service where users can pay eight dollars a month to get a blue check mark that was previously limited only to verified users. Though this was soon put on hold following the spread of fake accounts. Earlier today, reports broke out about the mass quitting of employees on Twitter, leading many to believe that the site might soon shut down due to the lack of workers handling the platform. In response, anime fans on Twitter have begun posting their “final Tweets” and discussing which platform to move to.
