It is a really busy time for those behind the John Wick franchise as not only will John Wick 4 be arriving in theaters next year, there will also be an upcoming spinoff movie, Ballerina, which will be bannered by Ana De Armas. Getting into the mix is Norman Reedus, Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead, as he has been cast in a mystery role. In a report from Deadline, Erica Lee, producer of Ballerina, confirms the involvement of Norman Reedus in the spinoff movie, “We’re huge fans of Norman, and we’re confident that the fans will be just as excited as we are that he’s joining the Wick universe. He’ll make an incredible addition to Ballerina.” Norman Reedus will be joining Ana De Armas in Ballerina which will follow a young female assassin whose eyes are fixed on getting revenge against those who killed her family, and John Wick is quite similar to her, to be honest, as he gets back to those who have done him wrong.

Reportedly, Keanu Reeves will be back to reprise his role as John Wick to join De Armas and Reedus alongside Ian McShane who will be returning as Winston Scott, the owner of the Continental Hotel. There is also Angelica Houston who will play The Director, Lance Reddick as Charon, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Busy could be an understatement but aside from John Wick 4, and the spin-off movie, Ballerina, there is also The Continental, a prequel series which will center on the Continental Hotel and will show the time when Winston was still young. Ballerina is an expansion, The Continental is a look back. Len Wiseman will direct Ballerina, with producers Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, and Basil Iwanyk, having Brady Fujikawa and Chelsea Kujawa as those who will oversee Ballerina in behalf of Lionsgate. Ballerina has no release date nor window yet. John Wick 4 is on its way to theaters on March 24, 2023.
