Naturally, fans are beyond thrilled about Namor’s inclusion in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but it turns out that one person has an issue with actor Tenoch Huerta’s casting and surprisingly enough, it has nothing to do with the studio drastically changing up the character’s origin story.Marvel Comics artist Mike Deodato, Jr. recently took to Instagram to throw some shade at the Mexican actor and his physique. According to Deodato, who is best known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man and The Avengers, the studio “screwed things up” with Huerta’s casting, pointing out that he looks in bad physical shape compared to him. The 60-year-old artist even posted side-by-side photos of him and Huerta, comparing their respective figures. In case you didn’t know, he also drew Namor in the comics in the Sub-Mariner’s New Avengers run. He wrote: “You can tell somebody screwed things up when a character from a movie looks in worst shape than the 60 years old artist who drew him.” Also Read: Black Panther 2: Aquaman Responsible for Drastic Changes Made to NamorHonestly, I don’t see any issue with Huerta’s physique, and judging by some of the stuff we’ve seen from the trailer, he looks imposing enough to be a believable Namor. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits cinemas on November 11, 2022.
