BLACKPINK unveiled the new track during their in-game concert, BLACKPINK X PUBG MOBILE 2022 IN-GAME CONCERT: THE VIRTUAL, over the weekend. Now, they revealed their plans to release its music video officially.
BLACKPINK’s Collaboration with PUBG Mobile
Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa held their first virtual concert in a collaboration project with PUBG Mobile. The in-game concert featured the 3D avatars of the four idols doing a special performance that was also seen during the game YG Entertainment described “Ready to Love” as a song that featured every bit of BLACKPINK style that fans have loved and known over the years. The lyrics, alternatively, are about not giving up in the game of love, featuring the group’s signature sound. “The charming pop song has a cool drop in the chorus that breaks the static flow of its lyrical, piano instrumental,” YG said in a statement about the song.

Meanwhile, July 23 and 24 were just two days of the four-day concert. The event will continue on July 30 and 31. According to Pinkvilla, the virtual concert is part of a campaign where BLINKs can actively participate in an online show that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa’s virtual selves made.
