Call of the Night Episode 9 Recap
Seri is seen hovering on the side of the road at the start of the episode. She reads through her phone’s messages and sighs when her current target inquires about her whereabouts. She finds it difficult because she does not want a demanding offspring. Seri threw herself at Kou as soon as she saw him walking down the street. Nazuna kicked Seri with pinpoint accuracy and timing, sending her away, face flying. While Kou was surprised, Nazuna asked if Seri had attempted to attack him or something. Nazuna is only trying to keep Kou safe from Seri. After all, the blonde vampire had previously attempted to murder Kou. Furthermore, Nazuna is irritated by Seri’s face, which is why her leg acted instinctively. In return, Seri fought back against Nazuna. When their squabble was over, Nazuna asked Seri why she was bothering Kou. First and foremost, it was Seri who advised Nazuna not to bother humans whom they had no intention of breeding with. Seri replied that she only wanted to annoy Kou. Kou, on the other hand, is quick to notice that something is wrong with Seri. Kou left Nazuna and joined Seri in a karaoke room. Kou believes Seri is having her own problems based on her statement that things haven’t been fun lately. Seri, despite being a vampire, can have problems just like any other human. Seri claims that she is well-liked by men. While she is accustomed to them, having to deal with them on a regular basis is a chore. This routine exhausts Seri, which is why she hasn’t been having fun lately. Kou understands Seri’s predicament. He is also irritated by people who believe that romance is the essence of life. Back in middle school, someone confessed to Kou. Since Kou doesn’t have any concept of love or liking someone, he rejected the girl. This caused them to despise Kou for reasons he doesn’t accept. Regardless, Seri tells Kou that if things get too difficult, she can simply kill those guys, and they might as well sing songs and have fun while they’re inside the karaoke room. While Seri sings the most popular song, Kou becomes disoriented because he hasn’t watched TV in a long time, much to Seri’s surprise. Seri asked Kou what kind of song it was after he finished singing because it was a sentimental buzzkill. It was from 30 years ago, according to Kou. Seri asked him why he likes it, given that it is well past his time. Kou replied that he just likes it. Suddenly, a man with glasses came knocking on their door. Seri claims it was one of the guys she dated for fun. She also apologizes for being pursued by mental psychos. Seri also informed Kou that complicated and insecure men are only cute in manga and anime, but they are a pain in the neck in real life. Seri tells Kou that guys like this only want attention to make them feel better. Kou should not be concerned because the guy lacks the courage to bother them inside. Seri also informed Kou that these guys are known as Draggos because they are a total annoyance. When Kou pressed harder on Seri’s issues, the atmosphere between them shifted. Seri, after all, just wants them to have fun, but Kou is concerned about her problems. Seri can easily kill those guys if she wanted to, so Kou shouldn’t be concerned. As a result, the two of them got into a heated argument. The man in the glasses stormed into the room. Kou and the glasses guy fled for their lives before Seri could kill them both. In an alley, Kou asked the glasses guy what she was doing to Seri. However, the glasses guy was unable to respond. Kou believes that the glasses guy likes Seri and that he should express his true romantic feelings to her. In a flashback, the glasses guy first met Seri when he got drunk and tripped on the streets. They hung out at a cafe and talked about love. The glasses guy got close to Seri over time. He did not, however, become Seri’s boyfriend. In the end, just seeing Seri is enough for him. In exchange, Kou told him about Seri’s complaints. Seri appeared with the desire to kill them both before Kou could share his concerns. Luckily, Nazuna arrived just in time to prevent Seri from doing so. It turns out that the glasses guy, now known as Akiyama, is Seri’s true friend. Regrettably, he fell in love with Seri. For Seri, Akiyama is the only person she can confide in about her problems, so it would be disastrous if he became one of her offspring. Seri also expressed her dissatisfaction with romantic interactions with others. Seri made the decision to cut ties with Akiyama. However, Kou intervened and told her that they need to settle things – as friends do – when they have a disagreement. Seri initially wanted to leave Akiyama forever, but she started crying after remembering their time together. Finally, Akiyama informs Seri that he wishes to be her offspring, and they both accepted one another. Kou looks on in envy as Seri transforms Akiyama into her offspring. However, Nazuna assures him that everything is fine and that they will proceed slowly. The four of them returned to the karaoke room for the rest of the night to celebrate Akiyama’s new life.
