Call of the Night is a TV anime by Liden Films that’s based on the manga of the same name by Kotoyama. The ongoing manga started serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday on August 28, 2019. The series’ story follows Ko Yamori, a middle school student who quits school after feeling dissatisfied with his life. To cope with his dissatisfaction, he takes nightly walks alone. During one of his walks, Ko meets Nazuna who promises to help him by showing him the bright side of being a nightwalker. Though it soon turns out that Nazuna is a vampire. When Ko discovers this, he decides to become a vampire as well. Though it turns out that this isn’t easy as he must be bitten by someone he loves before he turns into a vampire. Thus, he resolves to fall in love with Nazuna. Call of the Night airs in Japan every Friday on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block.
