CBR recently previewed a clip from Cobra Kai Season 5, and it features Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) giving his rideshare customers a tough time, especially with his music tastes. Fans are looking forward to more comedic character moments like this. As you can see in the clip embedded below, Lawrence was forced to start driving for a rideshare company after Season 4’s intense All Valley Tournament defeat of his Eagle Fang and Daniel LaRusso’s Miyagi-Do, which carried the stipulation that neither losing sensei could maintain their dojos in the Valley ever again. His music choices are clashing with his teenage girl customers. Their request to put Billie Eilish on the stereo results in a huge mistake, in which he puts in his Billy Idol cassette tape and rocks out to the popular ’80s cover of Tommy James and the Shondells’ Mony Mony.
This clip will likely be shown in one of the upcoming season’s earlier episodes as Johnny’s new career is unlikely to last long as he and Daniel will likely to come up with a plan to defang Terry Silver’s martial arts machine. Daniel called his enemy-turned-ally, Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okamoto) for help, so expect to fight back hard. Cobra Kai Season 5 is set to release on Netflix on September 9.
