Day Shift stars Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, Dave Franco, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Karla Souza, Meagan Good, Scott Adkins, and Steve Howey, and for those unfamiliar, the film is about a blue-collar father who provides for his family as a San Fernando pool cleaner, which is secretly a front for a union of vampire hunters.
Netflix hasn’t revealed much details about the future of the franchise, so we don’t have much information yet, but you can check the details about the possibility of a sequel below. Is Day Shift 2 confirmed by Netflix?
At the time of this writing, Netflix hasn’t announced a sequel for Day Shift, but since the movie was just released on Aug. 12, it’s still too early to tell what the future of the vampire franchise holds. Of course, just like any other Netflix original movies, it’s likely that the streamer will see how the first movie does before they decide to greenlight a sequel or put a stake through it. Day Shift has a 58% aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes, showing that the film received mixed to negative reviews. While the main storyline is wrapped up by the end of the film, there is certainly room for continuation should the movie perform well for the streaming giant. If a sequel is officially confirmed, it could follow Bud, Heather, and Seth as they team-up once again to kill more vampires. At the end, Big John is revealed to be alive, so it’s likely that we would see him return as well. Now that Jocelyn knows the secret about vampires, it would be interesting to see her and Bud reunite and become more honest with each other. Would you like to see a sequel Day Shift?
