Not only did she destroy Kamar-Taj, but her entire goal is to try and kill a child, (Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez). We can see just how far Wanda was willing to go, just look at how she brutally killed the Illuminati members on Earth-838 in only a few minutes.
But now, it seems that in another universe, however, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch was going to go even darker. Previously, it was revealed that the opening scene of the movie was supposed to have featured Wanda beheading Earth-616’s Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor). Scarlet Witch even shows his head to Doctor Strange.
Now, thanks to a recently released stunt video, another brutal scene that was once in the movie have been revealed, which would have surely turned Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness into an R-rated film.
You can check out how Scarlet Witch brutally killed the sorcerers in Kamar-Taj below:
MCU fans were able to get a look at a cut sequence from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness thanks to stunt performer Lian Yang. The scene that was released features Wanda during her attack on Kamar-Taj, and in this version, it shows Scarlet Witch’s brutal fight with the sorcerers. Once the fight started, it didn’t take long for Wanda, seen in the video as a stunt double, to cut the throat of one of the sorcerers and kill them. We also saw how Wanda controlled the dead body of the sorcerer to fight the others, and Wanda doing a Vecna-style kill on one of the sorcerers.
Seeing the entire video, it’s not a surprise why Marvel Studios decided to remove this scene. That said, the sequence is still awesome in every way and would have been nice to see it come to life on screen. However, it would definitely not be appropriate to show it to kids watching the film. According to one of the comments in the video, “as much as i’d love to see it, it’s still a family film 😮💨 and kids seeing chrissy wake up ain’t really what we want.”
As of now, it is confirmed that Scarlet Witch will be returning to the MCU very soon. We just have to wait till we get to see her back on the big screen.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is available to stream on Disney+.
