Does Aki Like Makima?
In Chainsaw Man, Aki has feelings for Makima. However, Aki can’t remember when or why he liked her. Given that Makima is the Control Devil, the best guess is that Makima’s devilish abilities drew him in. Makima is Aki’s immediate superior in the organization. She would frequently assign unreasonable tasks to Aki, such as caring for Denji and Power. He was hesitant at first, but Aki accepted the responsibility because Makima had ordered him to. When Aki first met Denji, he was taken aback by the latter’s motivation for becoming a devil hunter. A part of him resists accepting Denji because he has perverted intentions for the woman he likes. Eventually, though, Aki learned to accept Denji, despite all the times they taunted each other. Himeno, on the other hand, has a crush on Aki. She is aware that Aki is pursuing Makima, which is why she does not expect to have Aki all to herself. Himeno even proposed a deal with Denji to support each other in their personal lives. Nonetheless, Makima inspires Aki with her superiority over others. Makima’s strong desire to bring down the Gun Devil, who murdered his family, also impresses Aki. This is most likely one of the reasons Aki likes Makima. He believes they are the same because they both want the same thing. READ MORE: Does Denji Ever Have Sex in Chainsaw Man?
Does Makima Like Aki?
Unfortunately, Makima doesn’t like Aki in Chainsaw Man. Makima only sees Aki as a tool or stepping stone toward achieving her goals for the world. She doesn’t really care about him because the only thing she cares about is the Chainsaw Devil and its abilities. The same can be said for Denji and the rest of the organization’s devil hunters. Makima is only interested in sacrificing their lives in order to usher in a new era of a world free of unnecessary pain, diseases, war, chaos, and so much more. Do Aki and Makima End Up Together?
Unfortunately, Aki and Makima did not end up together in Chainsaw Man. Makima had complete control over Aki at the end. She not only used Aki to defeat the Gun Devil, but she also allowed the Gun Devil to possess Aki’s dead body, transforming him into its fiend. In his Gun Devil fiend form, Aki ambushed Denji and Power in his apartment. While fighting Denji, Aki hallucinated that he is having a snowball fight with him. Sadly, Denji had no choice but to kill Aki in the end. Aki left half of his estate to Denji and half to Himeno’s family in his last will and testament.
