WARNING: Possible SPOILERS ahead for Fantastic Four.
Marvel fans assume that John Krasinski will be playing Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four film, but since that version of Reed Richards came from another universe, the MCU has a chance to recast Mister Fantastic. A recent leak from 4chan (via Reddit) reveals that John Krasinski is not coming back. However, we should definitely take this with a grain of salt.
You can check out the leak below:

According to the leak, Krasinski playing Reed Richards was just a one-time cameo (for now, at least). It seems like Marvel is still looking for the perfect actor to play Reed Richards in the MCU, but one of the top choices to play Mister Fantastic seems to be the actor Penn Badgley.

Beyond Reed Richards’ casting, there are also potential actors to play the rest of the cast of the Fantastic Four. Out of a list of the alleged potential names, it seems like Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman could get the role of Human Torch, while Supergirl star Melissa Benoist and Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer are both in the running for Sue Storm. Moonlight star Jharrel Jerome is also listed in the potential cast.
For now, there’s still no official announcement on who will play who in the Fantastic Four film. We’re still in fan-casting territory at this point, but with Disney’s own D23 and San Diego Comic-Con coming soon, Marvel has an opportunity to announce some big reveals.
The release window for the Fantastic Four films has still not been announced. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently available to stream on Disney+.
