If you’re like most people, however, you might have wondered if Derol (played by Noah Segan) had something to do with the murder in the first place. After all, his presence on Miles Bron’s (played by Edward Norton) private island seems uncanny. Not to mention, he often popped up in all the weirdest situations without warning. So who exactly is Derol and why was he in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery?
Who Is Derol in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery?
If Adam Sandler has Rob Schneider and Sam Raimi has Bruce Campbell, Glass Onion’s creator, Rian Johnson has Noah Segan. In the movie, Bron explains Derol as “some guy, going through some stuff.” And that’s exactly what Derol does in the film. He is just a random dude without any connections in the whole mystery. Since Derol appears in some of Bron’s flashbacks, it’s possible that he is a friend of Bron’s before he became a millionaire. And now, Derol is a great red herring in the movie.
Who Is Noah Segan?
More importantly, who is Noah Segan, the actor playing Derol in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery? Interestingly, Segan has actually appeared in every single movie directed by Rian Johnson. In the first Knives Out film, Segan played the role of Trooper Wagner. Sensing this pattern, it’s possible that Johnson will add Segan to the third Knives Out movie.
