The new teaser was released on the official The Witch from Mercury Twitter account, and it features our first good look at the upcoming show. Check it out here: The first teaser which was released back in March only showed the main character and the Gundam Aerial. But this new trailer shows off the show’s main cast, along with several exciting clips of Mobile Suits in action. Along with the new trailer, the first two members of the cast were revealed on the Witch from Mercury website. Voicing the main character Suletta Mercury is Kana Ichinose, a voice actor known for her role as Ichigo from Darling in the Franxx, Maki Shijo from Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic-, and Tuesday from Carole & Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lynn has been revealed to be the voice of Miorine Rembrandt. Lynn is a singer and voice actress known for her role as Sakura Yamauchi in Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai (I Want To Eat Your Pancreas), Atsushi Nakajima from Bungou Stray Dogs, and Mafuyu Kirisu from Bokuben (We Never Learn). Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is animated by studio Sunrise and is directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi, the director of Kiznaiver. Joining him as the series composer is Ichiro Okouchi, the co-creator of Code Geass. The Witch from Mercury is the first anime series in the Mobile Suit Gundam series in seven years, following the end of Iron-Blooded Orphans back in 2016. Aside from being the first Gundam series in years, The Witch from Mercury is also significant for being the first Gundam series to feature a female protagonist. The Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury’s release date is on October 2022, and it will air in Japan every Sunday at 5 PM JST. There’s no word yet on when the series will air outside of Japan and on which streaming platform.
