Giant Freakin Robot has reported that singer-actor Harry Styles is in talks to join a Star Wars series. However, they didn’t provide any details on the role or TV series that he might potentially be involved in. However, the news has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm nor reported by the major trades so we have to take it with a grain of salt.
Styles’ potential involvement in the franchise comes as his acting career is currently on a rise and after joining the MCU when he showed up in the post-credits scene of Eternals as Eros/Starfox. He is also starring in the films My Policeman and Don’t Worry Darling, which are both set to be released later this year.
It is interesting to hear the possibility of Styles joining the Star Wars franchise although he is one of the hottest names right now in Hollywood which is why he might be in conversations to possibly join the franchise for a pivotal role. It would be curious to see whether he ends up doing a long-term commitment to the franchise.
However, the news of him possibly joining the Star Wars franchise was met by mostly negative reactions from the singer’s fans with most of them hoping that he will not end up signing on.
It remains to be seen whether the report is true or not so we still have to sit back and wait for any confirmation. If Styles does end up joining the franchise, it will definitely spark a lot of reactions from both fanbases. It will also mean that the actor-singer is going to be involved in Disney’s two biggest franchises.
