Numerous sources revealed the Last of Us release date to be on January 15th, as seen in the app. Search for the show’s title and The Last of Us: Season 1 Sneak Peek displays a description listing that date. Read the description below, as provided by Comicbook.com:

While this is what the description bears in the app, the HBO website says otherwise. Instead of also writing January 15th, the website merely displays it is set to be released sometime in 2023.

Should this be any accurate, it is safe to say we can definitely expect new ‘first looks’ of teasers and trailers before the year ends.

For now, you can watch the teaser trailer for Last of Us here:

Last of Us is a TV show adaptation from Naughty Dog’s videogame bearing the same name centering the characters of Joel Miller (played by Pedro Pascual) and Ellie (played by Bella Ramsey) as they embark on a journey trying to survive in the apocalypse filled with ‘clickers’ and the ‘infected’. Joel’s mission is to safely take Ellie to the Fireflies, an organization determined to find a ‘cure’ for the infection, holding hope that Ellie, being immune to the virus, will possibly be the answer to the problem.

Seeing as HBO’s marketing materials have been keeping their promise in delivering a faithful adaptation, fans will be even more delighted to hear that the series is set to be released on January 15. While HBO has yet to release the date officially, you can expect more related news on this story here on Epicstream.
