House of the Dragon Episode 3 introduced the prequel’s first villain, the Crabfeeder, widely known as Craghas Drahar in George R.R. Martin’s source material Fire & Blood. Sadly, things didn’t work out for the villain after Daemon (Matt Smith) vanquished him easily at the end of the episode, leaving his origins and motivations a mystery.
Now, in an interview with EW, Crabfeeder actor Daniel Scott-Smith sheds some new light on the villain’s origins and how the creators came up to define the character. It’s safe to assume that the Crabfeeder is as good as dead in House of the Dragon, which means that the actor’s statement will be the only detail about the character. It might be disappointing that the Crabfeeder didn’t get a considerable amount of screentime, but his appearance as the first villain in the series would certainly leave a mark, especially for Daemon who was responsible for his demise. Following the triumphant Episode 3 battle, Daemon would certainly get more respect from the realm, which will make his bid for the Iron Throne stronger.
