Quan may have had a career gap in coming on screen, but thanks to Everything Everywhere All At Once, the actor may find himself landing back on his feet. Especially with numerous upcoming projects like Joe Russo’s The Electric State and American Born Chinese coming on Disney+. In fact, he is also set to appear in the MCU soon, as he had been cast for Loki season 2.

Speaking with The Guardian, the actor shares his experience auditioning for Spielberg’s film. Admittedly, in an attempt to not only impress the director but also come across as a sophisticated, start-out actor, Quan’s mother had advised him to wear something fancy at the mention of being invited over to perform in the Indiana Jones 2’s director’s office. While it was an embarrassing experience for the actor, this encounter just served to be his starting point of his acting career. If he had not still taken the chance, who knows which movie he would’ve starred in, instead?
