The Brad Pitt movie is now available on the streaming platform. Sadly though, the film is not yet available in all regions. The movie is still slated to release on another date.
When Is Bullet Train Coming Out on Netflix?
As mentioned, Bullet Train is now available to stream on Netflix US and India. The movie came out on Netflix US just a few days ago, on December 3. But for Netflix India subscribers, the film has actually been available since November 5. As for the other regions waiting to get access to Bullet Train, it will depend on the agreement with Sony. Netflix Canada, the UK, Belgium, Japan, Greece, Sweden, Spain, Poland, and South Africa have an agreement to release Sony movies two years after the film’s theatrical debut. So this means that Bullet Train won’t be coming out on Netflix in these regions anytime soon. In Netflix Philippines, however, we do know that the movie is slated to make its release on Sunday, December 11. Bullet Train has a total runtime of two hours and seven minutes. It is rated R, which means that it isn’t appropriate for viewers under 17 years old.
What Is Bullet Train Story About?
Bullet Train is an action movie that was adapted from a thriller novel written by Kōtarō Isaka titled Maria Beetle. Both the novel and the movie follow an unlucky assassin under the name Ladybug (played by Brad Pitt) as he goes on a mission to retrieve a cash-filled suitcase from a bullet train. The problem is, the train is filled with several other assassins who are on the same mission as he is. The movie is directed by David Leitch with a screenplay by Zak Olkewicz.
Is Bullet Train a Flop?
The movie made its release in over 4,300 theaters on August 5, 2022. On its opening day, they were able to collect $12.84 million. And on its opening weekend, they collected $30.03 million. Ever since then, the movie was able to earn a total of $239.26 million from global sales. Despite this high number, it still isn’t a lot for the film since the film was also a costly one to make. Its advertising alone already cost $86-90 million. This doesn’t include the other $90 million that Sony spent to produce the movie. In order to break even, the producers need to earn at least $225 million. And for it to really make a profit, they’d have to earn at least $250 million. Right now, the film can be considered Above-Average at the box office.
