Is Keanu Reeves Returning for Constantine 2?
It has been confirmed in a report from Deadline that the supernatural action movie Constantine 2 is happening under Warner Bros. that Keanu Reeves will be reprising his iconic role as John Constantine with Francis Lawrence to direct once more. Keanu Reeves is returning as the cursed exorcist and demonologist John Constantine in Constantine 2 after almost two decades following the release of Constantine in 2005. The director of the film, Francis Lawrence, will also be back to helm the sequel. Constantine 2 will be penned by Akiva Goldsman who will also be the producer of the sequel alongside other executive producers such as J.J. Abrams, Lorenzo DiBonaventura, Erwin Stoff, and Hanna Minghella. Unfortunately, there’s no confirmation yet on the other cast members such as Rachel Weisz, Peter Stormare, Djimon Hounsou, and more, whether they will be returning.

However, with the news of the sequel comes with the confirmation from Variety that the Constantine series in the works under HBO Max will not push through. Still, what’s Constantine without Keanu Reeves, right? The sequel marks the beginning of the vision of Lawrence for more films. In 2005, Constantine released in theaters following the DC Comics Hellblazer where John Constantine banners the movie. He is a cursed exorcist and demonologist who can communicate with half-demons and half-angels and could go back and forth to Hell and Earth. There is no release date yet for Constantine 2. The first film is currently available to stream on HBO Max.
