The Warner Bros. Discovery merger has brought upon many changes, from the leadership to the future projects of the company, which includes DC Studios and the DC Universe that they are building. While recently, they have been thrown stones at for the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 and the fresh news of Henry Cavill not returning as Superman just after his cameo appearance in Black Adam, new plans are on the way for DC Universe as James Gunn took it to Twitter to tease everyone for what is in store. Gunn shared, “Peter & I have a DC slate ready to go, which we couldn’t be more over-the-moon about; we’ll be able to share some exciting information about our first projects at the beginning of the new year.” In the same threat, James Gunn explained the reason why Henry Cavill will not be back as Superman since one of their projects on the ten-year slate of DC Universe will be a Superman movie that he will be writing focused on the early life of the character, that means Cavill wouldn’t fit in the narrative.

That being said, Gunn isn’t closing doors on Henry Cavill being a part of the DC Universe as he said, “Among those on the slate is Superman. In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill.” As for other DC actors like Gal Gadot whose Wonder Woman 3, she is still attached to the DC Universe; Jason Momoa may be doing an exit, though; and Ezra Miller could be replaced following his growing list of troubles. James Gunn and Peter Safran were named as the co-CEOs of DC Studios last November and they will be looking over the production of everything DC related from films to television shows as they will be building a new DC Universe with a ten-year plan. What do you think of the ten-year plan for the DC Universe?
