What Happened To JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean?
When the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean adaptation was originally announced, people were excited about the anime. Although it seemed like Netflix had it all figured out by dropping sporadic updates leading up to its premiere, the marketing was slow and interest began to die down as the cours were released in one go.
Despite fans loving how Stone Ocean was adapted, they are also hoping that the next JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime will not be handled by Netflix.
At this point, it is still unclear whether Steel Ball Run will actually be adapted. There were previous speculations that Stone Ocean is the last JoJo manga that will get an anime. Steel Ball Run is the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s manga and is the first JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure part which is set in an alternate universe, specifically in the United States in 1890. The manga follows Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppelli as they compete in the titular cross-country horse race for a $50 million grand prize. But Johnny and Gyro later learn that the race has a hidden agenda behind it as the US president Funny Valentine wants to gain limitless power.
