Many fans wondered what arcs will be covered in the next season, especially as a lot of people are excited to see the Shibuya Incident arc in anime form. After all, that arc is considered by fans to be the best so far. Now, it’s confirmed via the synopsis that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will cover the Hidden Inventory, Premature Death, and Shibuya Incident arcs. The synopsis reads: In case you haven’t read the manga, the Hidden Inventory and Premature death arcs feature flashbacks to Satoru Gojo’s past as a student, and it explains his power as well as his relationship with the villain, Geto Suguru. These two arcs happen within 14 chapters, meaning it probably won’t take the anime more than 7-8 episodes given the pace of the first season.
The synopsis also features a detailed description of the Shibuya Incident arc, and it reads: Aside from being called the best by fans, the Shibuya Incident arc is also the longest one in the series so far at 57 chapters (including the Evening Festival chapters). Given its length, some fans are wondering if the whole arc will be covered in the anime. Right now, fans seem to be split, with some believing that the entire arc will be covered while others think only half will be animated. We’ll find out when Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 releases sometime in 2023.
