Chapter 276 was the last one for Ai Hayasaka. A rather complex character, she started off as Kaguya’s maid but later became her true friend and forged her own path. Hayasaka’s friendship with Shirogane, mingled with some of the bitterness she had for Kaguya once upon a time, caused her to resort to behavior that had us wondering if Hayasaka liked Shirogane. But there was none of that resentment here; it was simply the squad having a good time.
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Chapter 276 Recap
Chapter 276 was the last one for Ai Hayasaka and it takes place a few years into the future. Hayasaka, who has taken the time to travel the world during her early twenties, returns to Japan, where she meets Ishigami who is just trying to make sure he can graduate on time. The two discuss their and their friends’ lives after high school. Kaguya has completed a photography course and is now making a living out of photography jobs, which means her communication skills have improved a lot! Kobachi Osaragi is predictably doing a Master’s degree, while Miko Shijo is working in her family’s company. Nagisa and Tsubame are still together. While still a university student, Nagisa had a daughter – whom she named Miko after her best friend – and managed to graduate against all odds. Chika Fujiwara, who comes from a family of politicians, is said to be helping her father in his campaign while Miko Iino is partying hard now that she’s at university. For those wondering who Chika Fujiwara ends up with, there’s still plenty of queer teasing between her and Hayasaka: Miyuki is back in Japan and he hasn’t changed much. While he initially tells Hayasaka that the others couldn’t make it, Kaguya, Fujiwara, and Iino soon show up. In this heartwarming reunion, they all talk about the silly things they did in school but admit that they still have a lot of fun. As the chapter ends, we see a sleeping Hayasaka, and the narrator’s note that her story will come to an end when all her dreams come true, along with the inscription “dream within a dream.” So, is Hayasaka dreaming about all that, or is she not? Whatever the case may be, we can totally see the characters in these situations when they’re a bit older. The Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga ending has been announced, so we only have seven chapters left to go!
