The announcement was made via the Sumida Tourism Association website and shared on the Lycoris Recoil official Twitter account. There, details about the special promotion were revealed. In case you need a refresher, Lycoris Recoil Episode 5 featured Chisato Nishigiki and Takina Inoue on a mission to take a terminally ill man around Tokyo. During the tour, they accompany the man through various Tokyo sights, including a ride aboard a water bus in the Sumida River. Sumida City is located to the east of the Sumida River, and there, sightseeing water buses go through the waters. As the water bus in the fifth episode exists in the real world, it makes sense for the show to hold a special tie-up. The Lycoris Recoil sightseeing water bus not only features the same craft as the one in the show, but it will also feature recorded announcements by Chisato (voiced by Chika Anzai) and Takina (voiced by Shion Wakayama), as well as music from the anime. The ride will be limited to three trips on August 21, with 150 people per ride. Given the limited tickets available, interested fans must join a lottery to get a chance to win tickets. Lycoris Recoil is an original anime series by A-1 Pictures. The series is directed by Shingo Adachi and written by Asaura. Its story follows Takina, a member of “Lycoris” – an all-female group of assassins and spies. Takina is sanctioned for disobeying orders, and as a result, she is assigned to work under agent Chisato who works in an agency branch that’s disguised as a café. Takina is a serious agent while Chisato is a more carefree member of Lycoris. Despite this, Takina must get along with Chisato if she wants to get her old position back. New episodes of Lycoris Recoil are released every week on Crunchyroll.
