Madame Web Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Marvel Movie?
The new MCU movie has already started filming, but we only know about a handful of the main cast members.
Dakota Johnson is Madame Web
Dakota Johnson is leading the cast of the film as Madame Web. She will also be playing Madame Web’s alter-ego, Julia Carpenter. In the comic books, Julia Carpenter was just a regular human being, building a family with her husband, Larry Carpenter, and their daughter, Rachel. Things became more complicated when her college friend, Val Cooper, convinced her to join an ‘athletic study’ as a test subject. Julia was ‘accidentally’ injected with a mixture of spider venom and exotic plant extracts, which gave her powers similar to Spider-Man.
Adam Scott and Emma Roberts are Ben and Mary Parker
Adam Scott, who worked in various hit series like The Good Place and Twilight Zone, will be playing a young Ben Parker, the uncle of Peter Parker, your friendly neighborhood Spider-man. Emma Roberts will be playing Mary Parker, Ben Parker’s sister and Peter’s mother. Roberts is perhaps most known for her role in movies like We’re the Millers, Aquamarine, and Wild Child. When Roberts spoke with Entertainment Online, she talked about how excited
The Others Caught in the Web
More stars are joining the cast of Madame Web, though we still do not know who most of them will be playing. The cast now includes Isabela Merced, who will play Anya Corazon, and Celeste O’Connor, who will play Mattie Franklin. We also know that Zosia Mamet and Sydney Sweeney from Euphoria will be part of Madame Web. The recent rumors suspect that Sweeney may play one of various characters, like Charlotte Winter, Madame Web’s granddaughter, a live-action Spider-Gwen, or maybe even a character named Felicia Hardy. When Sweeney sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she confirmed that she was filming Madame Web.
Madame Web Crew: Who are the Creatives Behind the Scenes?
S.J. Clarkson helms Madame Web based on the screenplay by Kerem Sanga, Matt Sazama, and Burk Sharpless. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is the producer, with Palak Patel as the development executive of the film.
Madame Web Plot: What Will be the Plot of Madame Web?
There is still official synopsis for Madame Web, and the cast and crew of the film are keeping mum about the plot, but we can make inferences based on what we know. Since this is the first Madame Web movie, we can assume it will be an origin story, though it may not adhere closely to the comic book. In the comic books, Madame Web debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man no 210. In the comic book written by Denny O’Neil and illustrated by John Romita Jr, she was initially portrayed as Cassandra Webb, an older woman who suffered from a neuromuscular disease that severely impairs her ability to move and breathe. Cassandra is kept alive by an elaborate life support system that looks like a web, which also gives her telepathic and clairvoyant abilities. Dakota Johnson may play a convincing older woman, but the plot will follow the story of Amazing Spider-Man No 637, released in 2010. In this edition, Cassandra transfers her powers to Julia Carpenter, who takes over the responsibilities. Depending on which Earth and reality the film sets up, we may also see the other origin storyline.
