As reported by The Cosmic Circus, in a recent interview with The Writers Panel podcast, head writer Marion Dayre was told by host Ben Blacker that the episode will be posted in a week or two, and then she was asked about the release window of Echo. “That will be probably a year from when this comes out,” Dayre responded which was met by surprise from Blacker who assumed that the series will release “within months.” Based on Dayre’s comments, it looks like Echo is now set for release around December 2023 instead of summer 2023 which they previously announced a few months ago. If not December of next year, it sounds like it will be within the winter season around that time.
This is certainly an interesting development considering that there have been reports that the production is setting some major setbacks which posed the possibility of a delay during that time. Now, it looks like it is official and we are now going to wait longer than we anticipated. The show’s premise reads: “The origin story revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.” The cast includes Cox, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene, Zahn McClarnon, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Charlie Cox. Sydney Freeland leads the directing team of the series. Also Read: Olivia Colman Opens Up On Joining Marvel’s Secret Invasion
