While Josh Brolin’s Thanos may have been the big bad for the Infinity Saga, it’s now up to Majors to become the big bad for the Multiverse Saga of the MCU. One of the major differences this time is how Kang isn’t just one person, it’s an infinite amount of his Variants that are evil, the worst of them call themselves Kang the Conqueror.
Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror is set to make an appearance in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, where fans will get to finally see the big bad of the Multiverse Saga.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors reveals how he feels regarding his role as Kang the Conqueror.
When he was asked how he feels about playing the same MCU character in ten years’ time, Majors said that if his life keeps going the way it has been, “[he’s] going to die soon,” alluding to his popularity as being the reason why. “[If life] keeps popping off the way it is… I’m going to die soon. I’m OK with that. It won’t be drugs. It won’t be alcohol. It’ll just… something’s going to get me… know what I mean?”
Majors also noted how he hopes that his character Kang will not become Jonathan Majors, or in other words, completely overtake his image, without leaving room for other things.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to be released on February 17, 2023, while Loki Season 2 is set to arrive on Disney+ in Summer 2023. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is scheduled to be released on May 2, 2025, while Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to be released on November 7, 2025.
