More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers Release Date, Story Info
More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers is an upcoming anime series by Studio Mother. It is based on the ongoing manga of the same name by Yuki Kanamura that started serialization in Young Ace back in March 2018. This romantic comedy anime is set in a school that implements a couples training program. This program assigns two students to act like a couple so that they can develop the proper skills and abilities to live with a partner, and they are judged based on how well they work together. Its story follows Jiro Yakuin, a high school student with a crush on his childhood friend, Shiori Sakurazaka. Instead of being partnered with Shiori, Jiro finds himself paired with Akari Watanabe, a gyaru who does not like him at all. Soon, the two decide to work together as a couple and gain enough points so they can switch to a partner of their choosing. More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers will premiere on October 9 at 10 PM JST. Right now, there’s no word yet on when the series will stream outside Japan.
