Here’s What Happened Before My Hero Academia Chapter 373
The chapter starts with a brief flashback in which Shoji and Koda request that All Might and Eraser Head send them to Central Hospital. The teachers were perplexed because none of the students had been informed. According to Shoji, the giant lady informed them that the mutants had received a call to action to raid the hospital. After learning about this matter, Shoji becomes determined to join the group that will protect the hospital, for he will not be able to call himself a hero if he lets the raid slide. Koda also volunteers to accompany Shoji. Meanwhile, Eraser Head and Present Mic are discussing their failed attempt to divert the villains’ attention away from Kurogiri’s true location by disseminating false information. Eraser Head also asks Present Mic to join the fight in Central Hospital because the students need his help. Back in the present, after witnessing how Koda and Shoji fight, Present Mic realizes that their students are already far stronger than any of them were when they were dubbed “three idiots,” which Eraser Head is well aware of. Another flashback, this time focusing on Koda’s memories of his mother, was shown. Koda’s mother told him that one day, he would grow horns that could reach animals even if they are a long distance away. She also spoke about how her husband protected her feelings when people made disparaging remarks about her appearance. Before the flashback ends, Koda’s mother advises him to follow in his father’s footsteps – to mature into an adult who becomes enraged when someone he cares about is ridiculed. To stop Spinner and the Paranormal Liberation Front General, Koda and Shoji launch a combination attack of Hitchcock Birds and Octo Expansion, with a follow-up from Present Mic’s voice. Shoji directly asks Spinner what he wants to protect with his massive body and scales. He also addresses the other mutants and poses the same question to them. As he says this, Shoji recalls Aoyama, who was crying in the background. Furthermore, Shoji screams at the top of his lungs that they must not allow their wounds to consume them because their children will be the next victims of oppression and discrimination. He also requests that vengeance not consume anyone. That’s when Spinner intervenes, yelling that hatred will never die and that no matter how great the heroes’ triumphs are, nothing will change. He continues to speak and informs everyone that they will be metaphorically sprayed with pesticide even if they remain in the shadows. This time, Spinner screams at the top of his lungs, encouraging everyone to fight back, raise their voices, and follow in his footsteps. Spinner suddenly accelerates toward the Central Hospital, surprising Shoji by appearing even stronger than before. Upon seeing this, the other mutants became motivated to go even further. Shots were fired, and Spinner smashed through the hospital’s walls, making it easier for the mutants to thrash the place. Spinner recalls All For One’s instructions about Kurogiri being held at the research tower and the requirement that if he locates him, he needs to play a recording of All For One’s or even Shigaraki’s voice. According to All For One, Spinner’s quirk will also end the war once and for all, and he will become a hero for Shigaraki’s sake. To keep the mutants out of the hospital, all of the doctors and nurses banded together. When one of the mutants sees this scene, he is reminded of Shoji’s words and how they are all treating the wounded, causing him to drop his weapon on the floor along with the others. As a result, Spinner’s mutant army deserted him, despite his realization that he had accomplished his goal of becoming something after many years of being nothing. Present Mic’s voice suddenly echoes down the corridor, telling the mutants that Shoji’s voice has reached them and that Spinner will not be a trump card for them. Before the chapter ends, Present Mic and Spinner call out to Kurogiri, who is being held captive in the hospital’s research tower. READ MORE: When Do New My Hero Academia Chapters Come Out?
