The upcoming exhibition was revealed on the official Naruto Twitter account and website. There, details about the event were revealed, including what to expect, as well as the venue and dates.
The announcement came with a special visual that features major characters from the series, including Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Pain, Itachi, Orochimaru, Madara, and many more. These characters appear in the visual in their Shippuden form. Officially entitled NARUTO THE GALLERY, the exhibition will feature animated visuals which will show fans how the characters progressed during the series. Both the noble shinobi and the evil Akatsuki will be highlighted. Aside from anime footage and artwork, the event will also screen works from artists who are fans of the long-running Shonen Jump series. Need a refresher? Naruto is an anime series that’s based on the manga of the same name by Masashi Kishimoto. The manga is one of the best-selling series of Weekly Shonen Jump, with lifetime volumes in circulation being over 250 million. While it has been 20 years since the premiere of Naruto’s first episode, the franchise has continued to be popular thanks to the sequel series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Though this upcoming exhibition is a celebration of the original anime. It is also the first such event for the series since 2015, which was a bit after the time when the manga ended.
NARUTO THE GALLERY will be open from December 10, 2022, to January 31, 2023. It will take place in Akihabara, Tokyo, specifically in Akiba Square in the UDX building. Tickets to the event are available now on the event website. Tickets are priced at JPY 2,400 for standard admission and JPY 3,900 for special tickets with included merch.
