The series is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 14, 2022, with the first two episodes released on the first day. We first learned that a Disney+ National History series was under development when producer Jerry Bruckheimer talked about the show in an interview with Collider in 2020.
National Treasure: Edge of History Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the National Treasure Series?
The cast of National Treasure: Edge of History is ready to take on the challenge of continuing the National History tradition. The cast is led by Lisette Olivera, who plays Jess Valenzuela, a brilliant and resourceful young DREAMer who wants to learn more about her family history. She is joined by Zuri Reed as Tasha, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Billie, and Antonio Cipriano as Oren. The cast also includes Jordan Rodrigues as Ethan, Jake Austin Walker as Liam, and Lyndon Smith, who plays the role of Agent Ross. Two cast members from previous films in the franchise will reprise their roles in National Treasure: Edge of History. Justin Bartha, who plays Riley Poole, and Harvey Keitel, who plays FBI Agent Peter Sadusky, will both appear in the series’ first season.
Will Nicolas Cage Reprise his role as Ben Gates?
It seems Nicolas Cage will not be reprising his role as Benjamin Franklin Gates in National Treasure: Edge of History, but we are still hoping for a cameo. Cormac Wibberley and Marianne Wibberley, who previously worked on both National Treasure and National Treasure: Book of Secrets, returns to the franchise as writers for National Treasure: Edge of History. Mira Nair and Kevin Alejandro are the confirmed directors for the series, along with Jon Turteltaub and Jerry Bruckheimer as the executive producers.

The Disney+ original series is about two young treasure hunters, Jess Valenzuela and Billie Pearce, looking for three mysterious boxes holding clues to find the hidden treasure Jess’ dad told her about many years before. Jess is attached to the treasure because she believes it will teach her more about her family and history. Based on what we know, the series will draw inspiration from the Mexican-American wars with influences from the Mayan culture. The entire series is meant to expand on the premise of the first two films. The previous moves in the National Treasure franchise focused on South American history and the stories behind the treasures allegedly lost through time.
