Will Mark Harmon Appear in NCIS Season 20?
Will Mark Harmon be in NCIS Season 20 again? It doesn’t appear probable. The door, however, is still open for Harmon to enter if he so chooses, according to the head of CBS Entertainment. “Everyone is aware that the door is open if he ever wants to pop in for an episode or multiple episodes,” CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl told TVLine. CBS has aired 437 episodes of NCIS as of Sept. 26. With each season consisting of approximately 23 episodes, the publication suggests that we shouldn’t be surprised if the 500th episode, which will most likely air during the show’s 22nd season, brings Harmon back. Furthermore, viewership for the show’s 20th season appears to be declining. Fans will undoubtedly pay attention if CBS teases Harmon’s possible return.
Mark Harmon Left NCIS In Season 19
NCIS Season 20 isn’t the same without Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Gibbs told McGee in Season 19 that he would not return to his job, and it is currently thought that he stayed in Alaska. Harmon first appeared in the role in 2003, and he opened up after his exit. I thought it was honest and OK with.” Harmon appears to be still working as an executive producer with the NCIS team. Fans should be relieved that he hasn’t gone too far off the rails.
NCIS Season 20 Opening Credits Leave Out Gibbs
Harmon quit NCIS in Season 19, however his name was still used in the show’s opening credits after he left. Fans wanting to see another peek of Harmon in the opening credits of NCIS Season 20 will be disappointed. According to Entertainment Tonight, Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs no longer appears in the opening credits. Instead, Sean Murray, who plays Tim McGee, leads the opener. Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, David McCallum, Rocky Carroll, and Gary Cole are also listed in the NCIS Season 20 credits, but Gibbs is not. It makes sense that McGee is now the character who appears first in the credits, given how Gibbs appeared to hand off the reins to him in Season 19. Going forward, fans can expect a lot more from the character.
