According to a report by Giant Freakin Robot, Nicolas Cage is currently being courted by Marvel Studios to return in Secret Wars. The report also stated that Cage has been open to reprising the role, but it looks like The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus was secretly cast as the new Spirit of Vengeance. However, with the Multiverse as the core plot of Phase 5 and Phase 6, we might see two Ghost Riders in one film, or even three:
There’s no doubt that fans would absolutely love to see The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent star Nicolas Cage return as the flaming skeleton superhero. More amazingly, Cage has addressed his MCU return countless times and even revealed how he could be persuaded to return to the role. For now, let’s hope that Marvel Studios’ negotiations go well to get him on board. After all, Cage is now back in the limelight and is now taking more prominent roles than before, so this might also be the perfect time to ask him to return as the Ghost Rider.
