Just a bit over an hour after the new chapter’s release, Yokoyari took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the latest chapter. Even if you understand Japanese, Yokoyari’s Tweet is difficult to translate. But what can be said for certain is that she fangirled hard over Hirofumi Yoshida’s new appearance. In case you need a refresher, Yoshida is a Private Devil Hunter who appeared in the International Assassin arc of Chainsaw Man Part 1. While he wasn’t a major player in Part 1, he proved to be an incredibly powerful Devil Hunter as he was able to go toe-to-toe with Quanxi. Yoshida’s appearance in Part 2 features him in a school uniform with a slightly different hairstyle and new ear piercings. While not that far off his original look, if you ask Yokoyari, she’ll probably tell you how much hotter he looks now. In case you’re unfamiliar, Oshi no Ko is a manga that serializes on Weekly Young Jump. The series is written by Aka Akasaka (the creator of Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (the creator of Scum’s Wish). The series follows Aquamarine and Ruby Hoshino, the children of idol Ai Hoshino. But it turns out that these twins are a reincarnation of a doctor and a patient who are fans of the idol Ai. The two work together to become idols like their mother while uncovering the darker side of the idol industry. Oshi no Ko and Chainsaw Man may be completely different series, but they do share some similarities. For one, both manga are among the most popular in Shueisha’s lineup. The two series are also confirmed to get anime series adaptations soon. The Chainsaw Man anime is set to release sometime in 2022 while the Oshi no Ko anime has no scheduled release window yet.
