For the longest time, Patty has seemingly chosen to keep mum about all the controversies but now, the 51-year-old filmmaker is hitting back at all the “clickbait” reports that have been surfacing online. In her bombshell Twitter statement addressing all the rumors surrounding her upcoming projects, mainly Rogue Squadron and Wonder Woman 3, Jenkins revealed that contrary to reports that her Star Wars film has been removed from Disney’s upcoming film slate, it is still in active development. In fact, Jenkins claims that she signed a new deal with the production company. She said: “I originally left Rogue Squadron after a long and productive development process when it became clear it couldn’t happen soon enough and I did not want to delay WW3 any further. When I did, Lucasfilm asked me to consider coming back to RS after WW3, which I was honored to do, so I agreed. They made a new deal with me. In fact, I am still on it and that project has been in active development ever since. I don’t know if it will happen or not. We never do until the development process is complete, but I look forward to its potential ahead.“Also Read: Rogue Squadron: Patty Jenkins Described as a ‘F-cking Nightmare’With her DCU future seemingly up in smoke, it would be safe to assume that Jenkins can finally resume work on Rogue Squadron. It’s worth noting though that Lucasfilm’s Star Wars slate for 2025 is already set in stone so I guess we’ll have to wait a few more years before Jenkins’ project hits the big screen. As it stands, Rogue Squadron’s official release window has not been confirmed.
