According to a recent report from IGN, Paul Dano was present during last week’s San Diego Comic-Con and discussed his possible return in Matt Reeves’ The Batman sequel.“I’ve been spending the past year writing this comic [Riddler: Year One] because I loved so much our film, Gotham, Batman, all of it - so you know, if they call me, I’ll show up, yeah!” he said. “ It’d be pretty fun to get in there with another good actor like Barry.“The Batman’s ending sequence guarantees that the Riddler’s villainous pursuit isn’t over yet. In one scene, the Riddler and Barry Keoghan’s Joker were spotted interacting in Arkham Asylum, seemingly pointing at a future team-up to torment Gotham City along with Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne. That said, we can absolutely expect Paul Dano to return in the next Bat-Verse projects. Two spinoffs will follow The Batman and are headed to HBO Max, one involving Keoghan’s Joker and Dano’s Riddler in an Arkham Asylum storyline, while the other focuses on Gotham Police’s Department with Colin Farrell’s The Penguin set as the main villain. For now, Warner Bros. hasn’t yet announced an official release window for The Batman 2.Tune in for more updates about Matt Reeves’s The Batman 2, meanwhile, The Batman is still streaming on HBO Max.
