Specifically, it was revealed that Hidaka Rina is joining the show’s cast as Claire Kagenou. Rina’s casting as one of the show’s characters was announced via the anime’s official Twitter account. There, other voice actors were also revealed. In the anime, Claire Kagenou is the older sister of the main character Cid Kagenou, making her one of the show’s principal characters. As for her voice actress, Rina is a well-known voice actress who has been active in the industry since 2008. Since then, she has played lots of popular characters, including Filo in The Rising of the Shield Hero, Milim Nava in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura), and Arisu Sakayanagi in Classroom of the Elite. Alongside Rina, it was also announced that Saya Aizawa and Haruka Shiraishi have joined The Eminence in Shadow voice cast as Sherry Barnett and Rose Oriana, respectively. The anime also announced that the show’s ending theme entitled “Darling in the Night” will be performed by seven voice actresses from the series. These VAs perform the roles of the Seven Shades, and they include Asami Seto, Inori Minase, Suzuko Mimori, Ai Fairouz, Hisako Kanemoto, Ayaka Asai, and Reina Kondo. The Eminence in Shadow is an upcoming isekai anime series by studio Nexus and is based on the light novel series of the same name by Daisuke Aizawa. Its story follows a boy in modern-day Japan whose goal is to become a shadowbroker, but his dream ends after he is hit by a truck and dies. Instead of passing on to the afterlife, he finds himself reincarnated in a fantasy world under the name, Cid Kagenou. In this new world, Cid meets an elven girl and cures her of a mysterious disease. When asked who he is, Cid says that he is part of Shadow Garden, a force that fights the Cult of Diabolos, an organization that secretly rules the world. While Cid only made this story up, it turns out that the Cult of Diabolos is actually true. The Eminence in Shadow is scheduled to premiere this October.
