Rakhee Thakrar Exits Sex Education Season 4
Thakrar played the role of the English Teacher Emily Sands throughout the series’ first three seasons. However, it looked like fans had already seen the last of her in the third season. The Radio Times U.K. reported Thakrar’s exit, as confirmed by an interview with The Daily Star. Though she didn’t reveal the reason for her departure, she said she cherished her time in the series. Sex Education Season 4 Shake-Up
According to Screen Rant, Thakrar’s character might have been written off as the show is about to feature a shake-up. The third season ended with a major cliffhanger, seeing Moordale’s shut down. Fans thought Moordale would again open in Sex Education Season 4, but Reynolds seemed to hint that it would remain closed and the students would go to different schools. Knowing Thakrar’s role as one of the best-experienced teachers in the series, she may have received several offers and will choose the one best for her career, resulting in her exit.
Sex Education Season 4 Characters’ Exit
Ashley, Allison and Reynolds have officially announced their exit from Sex Education Season 4 before Thakrar. Reynolds told Digital Spy that her role as Lily had officially wrapped up her storyline “quite nicely” at the end of the third season, so she had no “loose ends to tie up.” “She had quite a happy ending,” she said. “At the end of last season, everyone kind of gets scattered, and I think that’s just a good opportunity to bring in some new characters,” she continued. “I absolutely will miss [her]. Alternatively, Allison said she wouldn’t be joining Sex Education Season 4. “I absolutely have loved being on Sex Education so, so much and playing Ola,” she stated. “But unfortunately, I won’t be joining the team for season four. Some other opportunities have come up, so – I’ve been doing it for three years and I’ve genuinely loved it.” Lastly, Ashley confirmed she wouldn’t reprise her role as Olivia in the series’ fourth season because she’s now a Bridgerton girl.
