When Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was first announced during CinemaCon 2022, the film was said to have nearly 250 characters involved, expanding Marvel’s Multiverse. This was only teased in the first trailer of the movie as Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man 2099 went furiously after Miles Morales, and fans are very excited to see just how far the limits will be pushed in the sequel.
Several merchandises for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have already teased some wild variations of Spider-Man, including cyborg Spider-Woman that should leave her mark on the movie’s main heroes. Now, thanks to a new piece of merch, fans finally get a glimpse at one of Spider-Man’s most thrilling versions from the comics that will be featured in the film - the Scarlet Spider.
In a recent post by Twitter user @haileestan2007, fans were able to get a glimpse at the first official look of Scarlet Spider from Sony Pictures Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The image comes from a game of Trouble featuring a Spider-Verse movie theme, which also gives fans a look at the sequel’s take on Ben Reilly. Ben Reilley in the upcoming film is one of the new versions of Spider-Man that will be featured alongside Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. The image shows Scarlet Spider’s first official look giving us a glimpse of what his costume would look like, with the film’s take on the bright white eyes making his mask look as impressive as it was in the comics.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released on June 2, 2023.
