Speaking with The Guardian, Lee makes it clear that while he is happy he got to take part in such a globally known series, he could not help but share that the themes of the show reflect the world all too accurately. Read his full comment below:

The actor continues to share his sentiments on how ‘horrific’ the sets were, no matter how childish and playful they may seem to the audience. In fact, Lee has reflected about its message in more ways than one, making him rethink how he views the world on his own. As an actor himself, the very roles they take, the characters they portray on screen, would more likely take a toll on developing their perspectives, so it is no surprise that his resolve on the show is similar to Gi-Hun’s, as well.
