Last year, HBO made it big with the titles House of Dragon and Euphoria bannering the CCXP and this time, they are bringing another huge title with them to headline their roster for this year’s event and their panels from December 1 to 4 with The Last of Us. Teasing their arrival at CCXP, The Last of Us just dropped a new poster, this time, without Joel and Ellie in it. It is a façade of a museum where the entrance is already covered with moss. Those who play the game will easily recognize that it is the Wyoming Museum, where Joel surprised Ellie for her 16th birthday. Should The Last of Us keep its promise of being faithful to the game, the Wyoming Museum holds a flashback of Ellie who remembered her first day in Seattle. The tease of the Wyoming Museum in the new poster teases that this may be a story taken in the upcoming series.

The poster also comes with the caption, “Bringing Boston to São Paulo.” It also indicates the schedule of the event. The Last of Us will follow Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, a smuggler who would have to escort Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, through a post-apocalyptic United States plagued with the infected and human hunters. Lamar Johnson who will play Henry and Keivon Woodard as Sam will be joining the cast as well. Gabriel Luna is also set to take on a new role in The Last of Us where he would play Tommy, a former soldier and the younger brother of Joel. Along with Luna are Ashley Johnson, Nick Offerman, and Troy Baker who both have unannounced roles. The Last of Us arrives on HBO Max on January 15, 2023.
