Ma Dong Seok’s Movie The Outlaws 3 Stars Filming
According to Soompi, the third installment has begun its production with a roster of talented stars completing the cast lineup. Joining Ma Dong Seok, who will reprise his role as detective Ma Suk Do, appearing as fellow lead star is Lee Joon Hyuk who will play the villain role of Joo Sung Chul. Interestingly, the actor’s physical transformation excites viewers as Lee Joon Hyuk bulks up for his new role. In addition to the list of The Outlaws 3 cast, Japanese actor Aoki Munetaka will also appear as Yakuza Riki. Joining the trio are Lee Beom Soo, Kim Min Jae, Jeon Suk Ho, and Go Kyu Pil. As the upcoming movie introduces new cast members, The Outlaws 3 officially started production on July 20, helmed by the same director of The Roundup Lee Sang Yong, and will be produced by Hong Film, Big Punch Pictures, and B.A. Entertainment. For the third installment, The Outlaws 3 will focus on detective Ma Suk Do’s new assignment with his new team under the metropolitan investigations group. After leading a successful mission, he is tasked to crack down on criminals in Incheon.

During the cast member’s table read, ahead of the filming director Lee Sang Yong expressed his thoughts about working with some familiar faces and new people. As noted by the same outlet, he mentioned how “delighted and honored” he is “to greet everyone once again” through the film’s third sequel. “I am looking forward to working with newly joined cast members such as Lee Joon Hyuk and Aoki Munetaka with Ma Dong Seok at the head,” he said, adding “Together with the actors and staff, I will try to make a great project with all my heart,” expressing his extraordinary ambition and determination.” At the same time, Ma Dong Seok, who was also the executive producer of The Roundup, vowed to “repay people with an exciting film that meets their expectations.” Moreover, he also wished viewers to “show interest and love” for the movie’s third installment. Lastly, new villain, Lee Joon Hyuk expressed his excitement to be part of The Outlaws 3. During the script reading, he said that he is “really happy and excited to do the next installment with such great actors and staff.” In addition, he also wished that they would wrap up the upcoming film “safely without getting hurt until the end.” To recall, The Roundup, which is the second sequel for The Outlaws, garnered more than 12 million viewers since it was released on May 18. The forthcoming action comedy movie is song Lee Joon Hyuk’s back-to-back project, after starring in the drama sports-themed film Baseball Girl opposite Lee Joo Young. Among his soon-to-be-released films are Reverse with Lee Sun Bin, Fireman with Joo Won, and Yoo Jae Myung as lead stars.
