The Umbrella Academy Season 3, which was released on Netflix on June 22, 2022, threw everything into turmoil. Hargreeves attempted to properly reset the timeline but were interrupted by Allison pushing the button on the device too soon, leaving the characters seemingly without their powers and separated from each other, with Sloane going missing. Season 3 also included a tease that Reginald Hargreeves could be the next villain of the upcoming season, as well as the second Ben’s survival.
In an interview with Netflix, the show’s creator and showrunner Steve Blackman teases that things may look dire, but “the siblings are always up for a challenge.” While Blackman obviously can’t reveal much about the challenge that the characters are going to face in Season 4, he does acknowledge that “losing their powers isn’t going to be the only oddity in this timeline,” and that the upcoming The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will introduce new enemies and higher stakes.
“It certainly is [a lot of change.] But the siblings are always up for a challenge.” Blackman teased. “This new timeline has been dictated by Hargreeves, who reprogrammed the Universe at the end of the Season 3 finale. But because of Allison’s actions, he didn’t get to finish what he started before Allison pressed the reset button.”
The cast of The Umbrella Academy Season 4 includes Elliot Page, Robert Sheehan, David Castañeda, Ritu Arya, Colm Feore, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Justin H. Min, Tom Hopper, and Aidan Gallagher.
As of now, there has been no announcement from Netflix about the release date for The Umbrella Academy Season 4.
