Will Sylvie be in Loki Season 2?
In the finale of Loki Season 1, Loki and Sylvie finally discovered who He Who Remains is, and they were given a lecture about why the TVA was created and what happens when the sacred timeline is disrupted. The two were not able to make ends meet as both of them stood their ground with Sylvie fulfilling her glorious purpose and with Loki trying to stop the impending doom of the alternate timelines branching out. In the end, Sylvie got her way as she pushed Loki through a portal to the TVA and she finished the job by stabbing Kang in the chest despite the possible chaos it may create. Can’t blame her, Sylvie has been stripped off of her place in the timeline, her home, her childhood, and technically, her whole life. Seeing the person responsible for it would definitely make her explode like that. Whether or not He Who Remains is telling the truth, Sylvie pursued her quest until the end. She and Loki even kissed when Loki told her that all he wanted was for her to be okay, to be safe, away from danger, and that he never wanted any part of the throne. At that moment, Loki looked genuine and as if he just wanted to be with Sylvie for the rest of his life. Now that they are apart and with Season 2 left hanging on the balance, it could be expected that Sylvie would be back for another run as the actress who plays the character, Sophia Di Martino, even teased the future of Sylvie in the MCU. Her role in the fourth phase of the MCU is pivotal as she is the one who paved the way to open the multiverse, even responsible for killing the only person who has been pruning out branching timelines for centuries. While it seems that something has gotten into her after killing Kang, Sylvie’s role doesn’t end there for sure. With Marvel, anything is possible, right? Now that Sylvie is at the Citadel At The End of Time with Alioth guarding the gates against The Void, she may now have control over the sacred timeline and whether or not she would continue what the TVA has started would be completely up to her conscience, possibly something Loki said might’ve hit her hard. Sylvie is expected to return for Season 2 which is set to be released mid-2023. Loki Season 1 is currently available to stream on Disney+.
