Here’s what we know about Interview with the Vampire Season 2 right now.
Will There Be an Interview with the Vampire Season 2?
Yes, it’s official. AMC has renewed Interview with the Vampire for a second season. In a statement with Deadline, AMC Networks and AMC Studios’ president of original programming, Dan McDermott, said: “The scope and breadth of this show, and what Mark [Johnson] and Rolin [Jones] have delivered, is just stupendous. They have rendered the rich and vibrant world of Anne Rice’s Interview in a wonderful way, and we’re incredibly proud. From the set build, to production design, costumes and more – no detail was overlooked. This stellar cast deliver powerful performances that emotionally connect us to these characters and their humanity. We look forward to sharing the final product of this extraordinary effort with audiences in just a few short days and are thrilled that this story will continue. This is only the beginning of an entire Universe featuring enthralling stories and characters that capture the spirit of Anne Rice’s amazing work.”
Potential Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Release Date
As of this writing, AMC has not yet announced a release date for Interview with the Vampire Season 2. But if its pattern is to be considered, it’s likely going to release the second season in October 2023. This is because AMC is known for having an annual release pattern. And compared to other shows, Interview with the Vampire doesn’t have too many episodes, which means season 2 will be quicker to film.
What Could Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Story Be About?
We don’t have any idea on what Interview with the Vampire Season 2 could be except where it will take place. At the finale episode of Interview with the Vampire Season 1, Louis (played by Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (played by Bailey Bass) are on their way to Europe. And as AMC confirmed, Interview with the Vampire Season 2 will take place in Europe. Showrunner Rolin Jones shared: “Bulgaria. Romania. Paris. (Ah Paris!) San Francisco. New Orleans. Dubai. The writing staff of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire is honored, humbled, and hungry to add more stamps to our vamps’ passport books.” Surely, there’s plenty of material to use, thanks to Anne Rice’s books.
