Jason Ritter’s Role in Yellowjackets Season 2
Ritter will appear as a guest star in the second season of Yellowjackets, it was confirmed earlier this week. Ritter, Lynskey’s real-life husband, has previously appeared in Freddy vs. Jason, A Million Little Things, and other films. This is Lynskey’s second project in which Ritter has appeared or been announced in the last year. The actor has previously appeared in Peacock’s Candy, which also stars Lynskey. The series has also added Elijah Wood, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell.
Yellowjackets Season 3 Update
The popular thriller series was given a third season order by Showtime before the start of its second season. In a statement, Showtime and Paramount Media Networks president and CEO Chris McCarthy said: “With ‘Yellowjackets’ runaway success in Season 1 and the pent-up anticipation for Season 2, we wanted to maximize the momentum by fast-tracking Season 3 now.” Widespread praise for the show’s debut season led to seven Emmy nominations, including seven for Drama Series and Melanie Lynskey’s Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Yellowjackets Season 2 Release Date
Yellowjackets Season 2 will premiere on Showtime on March 24 for streaming and on-demand subscribers and on Showtime on March 26. The series’ casting directors are Libby Goldstein and Junie Lowry-Johnson. Yellowjackets was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson.
